Stinks and Blackjack

I got blackjack for my birthday this year. He is a blacklab crossed with a basset hound, Interesting combination I know! I had been looking to adopt a dog and spent months meeting dogs with blackjack with no luck at all. All dogs seemed to hate my dog and try to bite at him (except the ones at the dog park that he would run and run and run with). It was starting to look like no dog was a good match for his energy level, not even other labs! I came across a boxer and thought maybe they'd get along since blackjack likes to box. The meeting was a little hairy at first seeing as she came from a bad upbringing. She was very shy. We tuffed it out for the first few days and now they are the best of friends. For being 3 years old she sure acts just as much puppy as blackjack is. I couldn't be happier that they get along so well.
