We’ve waited patiently, we’ve prayed for a safe return and now we can smile a little bigger. Our beloved soldiers are coming home! Nothing can spark the emotions and raise the spirits as quickly and genuinely as a soldier homecoming. As a tribute to our brave men and women who worked tirelessly to keep us safe and protect the homeland, this salute is for you! We love you and we’re glad you’re here. Welcome home United States Soldier! Job well done!
The Images Speak For Themselves
No one can argue that the image of a soldier homecoming and the loved ones who wait to meet him or her doesn’t spark emotion in even the strongest of us. The love and adoration on the faces of children and the joy in a family’s eyes when a member of the U.S. military reaches out to touch their hand after so long apart is simply awesome. There is no other way to describe the intensity and pure emotion that a military reunion can evoke.
Don’t Forget the Dogs
We can’t forget the dogs in this memorable occasion because Sparky, Tiger and Fido have missed their mommy or daddy too! Just show a few of these videos to anyone who claims that animals are lacking emotion. A soldier homecoming is a special time in a pet’s life and the evidence is clear from these video clips! From wagging tails to grinning mouths, our dogs hold a special place in our lives. We look to them for comfort, entertainment, affection and most of all companionship. When we’re apart we feel like something is missing and it’s a pretty safe bet that they do as well.

Now that the battle is behind us- at least for now- how can we show appreciation for our brave men and women of the armed forces? Here’s an idea. The next time you see a member of the military- in uniform or not- take a minute to stop and say thanks. You don’t have to make a big deal about it, in fact, with all the soldier homecoming there is now, it’s easy to do. Stop and thank your soldier. It may not be much, but if everyone did it, it would mean a great deal.
