Best Dog Friendly Hotels and Accomodations

Here's the problem...you're tired, hungry and ready to rest...but where are the dog friendly hotels?? How frustrating! There are offers and discounts for every need imaginable except for the most obvious.

Fear no more... I have come up with some of the best (and cleanest) dog friendly hotels and accomodations throughout the United States that are not only reputable, but well known too. You can feel confident that your family is traveling in style...even with the dog!!!

Keep reading and see if you recognize some of the hotels that made the grade (or didn't)...It just might change your mind about where you and your family were planning on staying!

Here's Who Made The Grade

Holiday Inn

Pets are welcome at most Holiday Inn locations, although there are some restrictions. As a dog friendly hotel, they were pretty impressive. Usually there is a weight limit of 75 pounds and a deposit is required. Most deposits are only 75 dollars, although it does vary... For instance, in Orlando Florida the deposit is a whopping 500 dollars! Thankfully Not all locations are this nervous. In Maine there is no fee at all.

Most cities in the United States have several Holiday Inn locations and its as easy as calling the location your interested in and asking.

Staybridge Suites Interior

Staybridge Suites Dog friendly hotels are not always easy to find, but here's another great one. Although pets of any size are welcome at most locations, deposits are non-refundable and VERY high. Some locations in Californiia charge $150.00 per night extra. However, if you have the cash and dont mind paying...these hotels are very clean and are located throughout the U.S. in most cities. You will need to call however, some locations have weight restrictions (no matter what you're willing to pay)

...And Here's Who Didn't

Crowne Plaza Hotels and Resorts

Well, our quest for dog freindly hotels wasn't over until we found a few that didn't share the same appreciation for our beloved pets as we did. Unfortunately, there are restrictive limits at most locations and many won't allow pets over 25 pounds. Besides, most states only have two or three cities that even have a Crowne Plaza. Thumbs down!

We're not trying to be mean here, but for those of us with boxers, it's tough to find a hotel that's decent anyway- that takes over a certain pound limit. And for mommy's like me with a 90 ppound baby, well, in most cases, i'm simply out of luck.

Traveling with your pets can be frustrating to say the least...especially if you cant find GREAT dog friendly hotels or accomodations.

There is literature that can help you on your road trip...
