Chief

Chief was given to me when he was 6 wks old by a woman who raises, trains, & shows Boxers. He was born deaf & was a lot smaller than his siblings. He was also "sickly". The woman didn't want to put him down if she could find a good home for him & someone who would take care of him. I was just that person! I had just lost my little Cocker Spaniel & I was pretty "sickly" myself. I guess you could say that we needed each other. When he turned a year old, I took picture's & weighed & measured him & emailed the info to the woman I got him from. She was totally amazed! She didn't think he would make it, let alone get as big as he did. He'll be 5 in Nov. & weighs 85 lbs. & stands 28 inches tall from the floor to his shoulders. (Not real sure how to measure). I send her picture's every year on his B'Day. I knew it would be a challenge, but I wouldn't take a million dollars for him! We've had our problems we had to work thru, but nothing much different from having another puppy. Our sign languange is our own & I don't need a doorbell. He lets me know if anyone comes to my door because his sense of smell is way way above average. He actually does "hear" a lot. He loves people & is very gentle around my grandkids. Maybe my little story isn't special to anyone but me, but I had to share. I have always loved my "kids" with all my heart & they each have their own special little stories.
