Apollo

My fiance and I were expecting the arrival of our son Gavin and really wanted a puppy for him to grow with. After doing a lot of research and reading many testimonials online about what great dogs boxers are with kids all we had to do was choose a color. We wanted a dog that was unique and, we to this day still do not see many white boxers around us. We picked Apollo up and instantly fell in love with him, all puppies are cute but, white boxers are the cutest! He grew rapidly and learned quickly, good and bad things, boxer owners will quickly tell you they are to smart for their own good. We did run into some health issues, Apollo had a couple fits where for days at a time he would not eat or drink and would just lay on the ground and rock back and forth, after taking him to a brian specialist they could never find the problem and, he has been relatively healthy since aside from allergic reactions to bee stings. After our son was born we were amazed at Apollo's actions around him. Boxers are high energy to put it mildly but he was always very reserved and careful around him. My son could put his hands in Apollo's mouth, pull his tail/ears/feet and the reaction was either a gentle kiss for my son or, a mild groan and Apollo laying down and letting my son explore him. Apollo is 3 now and my son is 2.5, they get along great, my son will ride Apollo like a horse, use him as a pillow to watch tv or, play ball in the yard together. As far as size goes everyone who has seem him says his is beautiful, a handsome 70 pounds of solid muscle and love. His heart is bigger than any dog or human for that matter than anyone I have known. If your on the fence about a white boxer I would urge you to ignore the beliefs that they are lesser of a dog. We could not be happier with Apollo and our lives would not be the same if he were gone!
