A military wife's tboxer tale :-)

by Ingrid Murphy
(Kansas City, Kansas)

Jax

Jax

I met my husband in Germany 17 years ago and I became a military wife shortly after. After moving around in Germany for the last 11 years we finally settled in Kansas. We always told our boys we would get a dog when we get our own house since when you move with the military you'll never know what kind of housing you'll end up in. I always, always wanted a boxer but I just didn't want a dog of that size in an apartment. So when we got our own house with a fenced in back yard I got my dream dog - a little boxer girl named Lindsey. Lindsey is fawn with white markings and the best boxer girl there is. She is awesome! Granted I work a lot with her since she's so darn smart and I have so much fun teaching her. When she was 9 months old I went on the craigslist just to look around and I stumbled over an ad from a family who wanted to rehome their white boxer puppy because he's deaf. There was a picture and I instantly fell in love. I knew he was MY dog! So a couple days later I went with the boys and Lindsey to meet Jax. Right from the beginning I had the feeling that he was meant to be with us. So we brought Jax home and I haven't regretted it for one minute. He is the best boxer puppy ever! I already thought Lindsey was great, but Jax just tops everything. He is so laid back and happy, he is very smart and learns so quickly. I would have never gone out and purposely looked for a white boxer - a deaf one on top of it - but I wouldn't trade my little guy for the world!
